10,500 students from 40 states participated in the 14th Annual National Economics Challenge, and the top two teams from each division will go head-to-head for the title of National Champion.
TEAM VIDEO CONTEST! Learn more about our amazing Finalist teams! Watch their video portraits that convey who they are as economics scholars, and vote for your favorite video on CEE’s Facebook page. The team with the most votes will receive a $100 Amazon gift certificate for their school and a $25 iTunes gift card for each student from the team. Voting begins today, Monday, May 12 and ends Friday, May 23 at 5:00pm ET. (The video contest has no influence on National Economics Challenge judging.)
WATCH IT LIVE! This year’s quiz bowl will be broadcast live from Tisch WNET Studios at Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday, May 19 at 1:00 pm ET and co-hosted by CNBC Senior Economics Reporter Steve Liesman. The quiz bowl will also include special guest video questions from Janet Yellen, the Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve.
Stream it live in your classrooms (or have an assembly!) and your students can witness the energy and fun of the competition. It’s a perfect teaching opportunity!
